The 6Ms are the six categories used to structure cause analysis: Man (people skills, training, staffing), Machine (equipment, tools, technology), Method (processes, procedures, workflows), Measurement (data quality, metrics, inspection), Material (inputs, supplies, raw materials), and Environment (workspace, conditions, external factors).
